Meetings take place in the Saxon Room, at the Steyning Centre with a start time of 19.30 All meetings are on a Monday, they are as follows:- 2008 dates: May 12th (5th is a Bank Holiday), this meeting will be held in Coombe Court and finishing the season on June 2nd. As regular members will know I have avoided preparing a strict formal 'diary of events' in the past. It is my opinion pre-arranging what is to be discussed on any particular night is very restricting particularly for those who wish to raise other points of interest. So far I am still of that opinion. But it does need careful handling. One way this could be improved would be to know from the members at large what they want to be raised at some point during the season, and then attempt to fit these items in. This of course opens up a huge array of possibilities. I'm sure each of us could come up with 10 or 20 ideas that could take many seasons to cover. However, if I am aware of what specific items members want discussed I could attempt to collate these into groups. We can then be prepared to look at groups of items. I will stress however that we need to keep within the computing aspects of our hobby. i.e. from the computer onwards. So there's no time like the present - from here on until the end of the season - let me know (preferably by e-mail) what questions and aspects you'd like to see covered during the coming season or even the next. The format in recent years has been that we have a 'presenter' from either our members or from outside every other month. This will probably continue - however your demands come first. If there is the demand for more 'in house' development - we can accommodate. With good paid attendance this season we can cope. However I have to increase the fees for the season to £20.00 to ensure that. One good point is that I have calculated we will not have to pay for the tea/coffee and biscuits. This means that each member will have to pay an extra 30 pence a night for the season, assuming he or she has tea/ coffee.. I hope you will all think this is not unreasonable.
