3rd December wth "Ken Scott ARPS and the Internet" - Superb evening with Ken Scott and some great tips for getting your images onto the web. An evening of appreciation of members' own prints and ideas. Thanks to all for covering every table in the Saxon Room with a great variety of excellent work. I am certain that we all benefitted from the lively discussions that developed and that we all learnt a few new tricks.Well done all. Monday, 3rd March in the Saxon Room. We projected the digital images that we did not have time to show at the last meeting, asked for members experiences and recommendations relating to hard drives and backing up procedures. Finished with a few more techniques using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Monday 7th April - more of Elements with member questions and answers. Lively evening wih plenty of ideas from the membership and very helpful suggestions by Frans De Boer with details of High Dynamic Range techniques and demonstration images. Monday, 12th May in the Coombe Court Hall at the Steyning Centre, starting at 7.30pm. - This meeting was later in the month as a result of the Bank Holiday and we had several visiting demonstrators and special stalls with papers, inks, etc. John Read of Marrutt Digital demonstrated the latest Lyson Inks and papers. He challenged our members to bring along a print, together with the digital jpg or tiff file and hopefully produced a better print "in front of their very eyes"! He also showed the latest software for producing the range of Photobooks. http://www.marrutt.com/latest-news.php On-Line Paper Co. had a full set of the various range packs that they offer, including the new Permajet range pack as they are now a premier stockist of that brand too. Nik Proctor, the UK Sales Manager of Permajet was also on their stand to discuss the various qualities from their range. This has been much requested and should enlighten all member's knowledge of this widely accaimed program and certainly help our photographers to assemble their own presentations. We will also have our usual "Questions and Answers" session, so please contact me as usual should you have any specific requests or take a chance and ask on the night! | |||||||
